Welcome to the 146th OPEC Conference in Abu Dhabi

Dear Delegate,

It's my great pleasure to welcome you to the UAE and particularly to its capital city Abu Dhabi for the 146th Meeting of the OPEC Ministerial Conference. The last time the UAE hosted this meeting was 29 years ago – also held in Abu Dhabi in December 1978.

Since then the UAE has undergone many changes, as you will discover should your time permit. One thing, however, has not changed; our Bedouin hospitality remains as strong as ever. Even though there is much work to be done at this OPEC Meeting, I cordially invite you to enjoy the cultural and scenic delights of our country.
